Honoring Heroes at the 6th Annual First Responder Appreciation Luncheon
On Monday, October 29, 2019, Harris Lowry Manton LLP held its 6th Annual First Responder Appreciation Luncheon in Daffin Park in Savannah, Georgia. The firm hosts this lunch every year as a way to say “thank you” to the men and women who keep our communities safe. This year, the lunch was planned to coincide with National First Responders Day, and more than 250 First Responders attended the event, which featured free food catered by Chef Kirk Blaine, and live music by Junkyard Angel. There were also free giveaways and a tribute to fallen First Responders.
This year, firm partners Jeff Harris, Steve Lowry, and Jed Manton also presented a check for $2,000 to the Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire, a non-profit organization which helps support the families of First Responders who have died or were injured while in the line of duty.
The year’s lunch brought police, paramedics, EMTs and firefighters from across Bryan, Chatham and Effington Counties. Savannah Fire Chief Derik Minard call the lunch a “wonderful event that Savannah’s first responders look forward to each year. The laid-back atmosphere and sense of camaraderie is truly special for everyone in attendance.”
It was truly special for all of us, too. We invite you to check out some of the photos from the day’s event.
